Upcoming Urgent Maintenance (Working Hours)

The official PHP security updates have now been applied across the Culverdocs platform. Updated packages for some services arrived later than expected, and we chose to validate every service before closing this incident. Our interim mitigations remained in place throughout, and no interruption to service was reported.

Services affected:
The updates apply to the Portal, API and Web Forms. You may see brief, intermittent interruptions to these around 15:00 while the updates are applied. The Mobile App and Web App are not affected and will continue to capture data as normal.

What you need to do:
There’s nothing you need to do. You can carry on using Culverdocs as usual. We’ll post an update this once the patches have been applied.

You may have seen news today of two security advisories affecting PHP, a technology used by a large proportion of websites and online services, including parts of Culverdocs. We wanted to let you know that we’re aware of them and are already taking action.

What we’re doing:
Our team has reviewed our systems and put interim mitigations in place against the known issues. The official PHP security updates are due for release at 15:00 UK time today. Rather than wait for an out-of-hours window, we’ll apply them as soon as they’re available, so this work will take place during working hours.

We’ve found no evidence that either vulnerability has been exploited against our systems. We’re prioritising this as a precaution, given the importance of the data we hold on your behalf.
